There are three main types of networks. Generally a network is classified by its geographical size.
1)LAN (Local Area Network) :-
This may not seem like much, but add up all those saved times over a week or a month, and you get a fraction of the time.Computers on the network are scattered over a limited area. In that building, in the same office, or in another building nearby. However, the CPU on every computer in the LAN helps the computer to start programs, as well as to use data or other tools from any other computer in the LAN. Most people can use the same data or device. Users can also communicate via email or chat. Data transfer over LAN is faster. However, computers on the LAN are so close that data cannot be transferred to remote computers. There are two types of LAN. Client / server / LAN contains all data and programs on the server and data and programs are provided according to the needs of each client.
A local network (LAN) is a limited network of passengers such as a home, school, laboratory or office in a single building. LAN is a useful way to share resources between end users. Printer. File server. Tools like scanners and tools like the internet are very easy to share on a computer. A LAN can be either wireless or both forms simultaneously. Today's most popular local network protocol is Ethernet.
2)MAN (Metropilitan Area Network) :-
Where two cities or towns are connected to a network, for example the daily introduction of the Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) that the location of a city's mobile network (MAN) is more than grass is limited to a large campus or city. It is used by large corporations to connect multiple offices in the same city. The Metropolitan Area Network connects multiple LANs via fiber-optic cable and provides services such as Internet Service Provider (ISP).
3)WAN (Wide Area Network ) :-
Wide area networks can include two or more LANs. Computers in connected areas are usually connected by telephone wires. In addition, they can be connected via satellite or rental line. The Internet is the largest network of local area network. An example of a broad local network in India is ERNET (Reaserch network). It also has many errors due to spaces. Wide Area Network covers a wide area. This means that any telecommunications network across the metropolitan, national or international border that provides communication using telephone systems, fiber-optic cables, satellites or leased lines. The Internet is the largest van in the world.
Disadvantages of Network : -
(1) Computers on networks depend on servers. The entire network shuts down when the server turns off.
(2) When a virus infects a computer in a network, it can spread to all computers in that network. So all computers are at risk.
(3) Information from a network computer is available on all computers. This information may be misused.
