The Default Operating System of computer

 Operating System

This post will show you how to change the Boot default when using booting using Advanced Startup Options in Windows 10.

If you boot Windows 10 with an earlier version of Windows such as Windows 8.1 or Windows 7, before logging in, you will see the following screen give you the available operating systems. You can select the operating system you wish to access, or by default, it will install you in the default application after 10 seconds.

Change Windows 10 Boot default settings

If you wish to change some of your initial login options and settings, you can click on Auto Change or select a link for other options, which you will see below.

Once you have done this, you will see a screen for the following options. Here you can change the Timer settings, set the default operating system to turn on, and set other options.

1] Clicking on Change the timer will take you to the next screen, where you can set the timer for 5 seconds, 30 seconds, or 5 minutes. This is the time you should wait before the default OS is loaded automatically. The default setting here is 10 seconds.

2] Clicking Select the default operating system will allow you to set the operating system you want to download automatically, after waiting a set time.

The setting in my case is Windows 10.

3]  Clicking on Select option will give you the following options.

  • You can click on Continue and exit to your default OS
  • You can use another installed app
  • You can solve the problem with your PC by opening Advanced Options
  • Or you can turn off your PC.

  •       That’s it.

We hope you find the post helps you change the default operating system on your computer.
