AWS vs Azure – What Should I learn in 2021? | Difference Between AWS and Azure - Infocenter

In this digital age, the days of using end-of-life devices are over, thanks to public cloud services. And the two biggest names on this domain are AWS and Microsoft Azure. Hello and welcome to all of you, this Infocenter Post and today we will compare both of these cloud giants and discuss which one to choose? So, without further ado, let’s get started.

AWS vs Azure – What Should I learn in 2021? | Difference Between AWS and Azure

First of all, let's take a brief look over both of these cloud services.

1) What is AWS and Azure ?

1) AWS Amazon web services.

According to their official website, Amazon Web Services is a subsidiary of Amazon.com that offers the required computer hardware to individuals, companies and governments, for a paid subscription.

2) Azure

Similarly, Microsoft Azure is also a cloud service developed by Microsoft to create, test, deliver, and manage applications and services through a global network of Microsoft data centers.

2) History and their establishment.

Launched in 2006, AWS has more experience in cloud computing than azure or other cloud providers and has successfully met the needs of businesses in terms of cloud computing platform. On the other hand, introduced in 2010, Azure has been in constant competition with AWS and is a well-qualified computer speaker for business. But the question remains, how are these two cloud services different and what should we focus on when comparing AWS & Azure? Yes, you will be able to find it.

3) The Availability Zones.

As we have already gone through the invention process, we already know that AWS was the first of its kind. Which means that AWS operates in many places around the world, and so does Azure. But the difference is in the numbers and regions. numerically, AWS has 55 locations worldwide with 8 more on the way. Where, azure has 44 access points with a number 12 above on the way.

4) The Market Shares.

1) Public Cloud Market Shares

AWS owns 40% of the global cloud market share, of which Azure owns 30%. An interesting fact to note here, is that no other cloud provider sleeps between these 2 numbers depending on the public cloud markets. Performing AWS in 1 and Azure in 2nd place. Right?

2) Popularity

These are the statistics, where you can easily find out how AWS interest has been surpassing azure globally in the last 12 months. Also, if we check their search results and styles according to USA. The same case is here again, where there is a greater interest in AWS than in Azure. In the case of India, here are the results, Still AWS is ahead of Azure. These are the results of the last 12 months and have varied and greatly increased with AWS on the 1st and azure on the 2nd from 10 years of pasta. To make Azure a tough competition for AWS, you have to have a question in your mind, whether there should be other cloud providers between these numbers, check the results while comparing other cloud vendors, such as Google and IBM Cloud and Rack space, it shows that azure is still at number 2 and both have been ahead of the rest of the cloud vendors. However, let me tell you an interesting fact that, from a recent study by Forbes.com, Azure surpassed Amazon in Cloud revenue from 6 billion dollars to 5.44 billion dollars. This is the April 2018 survey report. Sounds convincing? Right?

5) Who's Using Them.

We can now conclude that the fact that AWS is in the forefront as a cloud provider is that it clearly has the support and trust of its customers. This is the reason why AWS has so many high quality customers like Netflix, Airbnb, Unilever, BMW, Samsung, MI, Zynga, etc. beliefs in azure recently. Some of its major clients are Johnson Controls, Poly com, fuji film, HP, Honeywell, Apple etc. Now after discussing their establishment in the market.

6) Terms of Services.

The services I will compare here, fall under the following domains: Compute Database Storage Security Networking Monitoring Development and Internet of things AWS and Azure both covers like 100+ services. Therefore, in these domains some of the services covered by AWS are AWS EC2, AWS RDS, AWS S3, AWS IAM, AWS VPC, AWS Cloud Watch, AWSCloud9, AWS IOT Core and many more. Similarly, Azure includes services such as Virtual Machine, SQL Database, Blob Storage, Azure Active Directory, Virtual Network, Azure Monitor, Visual Studio, Azure Iot hub and many more.

7) Open-Source Integration.

Now another feature is its integration with open source tools. Amazon has had very good relationships with open-source communities, leading to the integration of open source resources with AWS, which are cloud-based open source tools like Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, Github and also friendly when it comes to Linux servers. In the case of azure, it offers traditional integration of windows development tools such as VBS, SQL database, Active Directory. We all know, when it comes to open source, Microsoft has not always adopted this model, but recently they found it again, now organizations can now use the Redhat Enterprise Linux system and the Azure Hadoop collections.

8) Pricing Models.

In the case of AWS, a very basic model that includes 2 8 CPUs and 8 GB of RAM will cost you about -0.0928 USD / Hour Similarly, in the case of Azure, it costs you about - 0.096 USD / Hour Also, The biggest example given by AWS is 256 GB RAM and 64 CPUs cost you about $ 3.20 / hour and in the case of Azure, it also gives you 256 GB of RAM with CPUs. 64, but it costs you 6.76 Dollars / hour, which is more expensive in terms of high usage.

Think About :-

So, guys who do you think is the winner? AWS or Azure Well, most of you must have figured out from the above stats that how Azure is rising a tan advanced rate and is always at 2nd place after AWS. No doubt it may surpass AWS someday which makes it very difficult to declare one of them as the winner. However, AWS has been a consistent pioneer in the cloud services, its more mature infrastructure causing less downtime each year makes AWS a preferable choice for majority of the users. So, thank you so much for watching this session. I'd love to hear from you guys that which one of them is better according to you? and why? Please reply to us in the comments section below. Thank you for reading.
